Covid-19 Safety Procedures
We all hate Coronavirus, yet here we are in the midst of a pandemic. Life happens, and we just need to adjust. Running a business is no different. I take my health and the health and safety of my clients very seriously, and you can feel safe with me as your photographer. I consider myself "Covid Careful".
Personally, my husband and I have been practicing social distancing since March, and we steer clear of crowds, including restaurants, malls, and grocery shopping (yay for grocery pickup!). My husband is in the high risk category, so we are careful, although we do still enjoy spending time with our family, as long as everyone is healthy.
Professionally, I am taking the following steps to ensure a healthy experience for my clients:
Sessions are being scheduled outdoors when possible, with no less than 48 hours between sessions in order for me to be able to sanitize all of my equipment, including blankets and toys that are used during the session.
While at your session, I will keep at least 6 feet away.
I will be using zoom lenses that allow close-up photos while still keeping my distance.
If I am experiencing any symptoms, I will reschedule your session. If that is not possible, I may have an associate photographer do your session in my place.
I ask that only those being photographed attend your session.
If you or your family are experiencing any symptoms, please let me know as soon as possible so that we can make alternate plans.
BIRTHS: While most hospitals are not currently allowing photographers in, I am still able to attend home births and most birth center births. Extra precautions will be taken during a birth, including arriving in sanitized clothing with freshly sanitized equipment. I will wear a mask at all times, and will do my best to keep a distance.
Undoubtedly, this is difficult for everyone. Kids are kids, and may want to see my camera, or pull my wagon with me. Actually, this will happen, for sure. But don't stress over it! This is one of the reasons that I am not booking back to back sessions.
If you have any questions about my policies, your role during your session, or any other concerns, please don't hesitate to just ask me. We are in this together.
